Feedback Thoughts

 


I really appreciated reading these articles on feedback. I also like how we revisited the concept of growth mindset. Firstly, the person receiving feedback should keep an open mind to receiving it and believe that they can do better. They have to believe that they can do better, become better, and improve their skills. They must be willing to take criticism on their work. After receiving the constructive criticism they then must take the initiate to make a change. Believing in making a change and asking how to is not enough. One must know how to make the change for themselves and then actually do it. As for the person criticizing, it is so important to have a heart. The point is not to belittle the other person but to tell them how to rise. The point is to show them how to do better. It is also important to note what seems like a weakness to an outsider might not be one to the receiver. So it is important to not force feedback on someone. I will keep this in mind during the semester
